Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED (a caring heart is a major plus!).
  • Prior caregiving experience is a benefit, but we’re happy to train the right candidate with a willingness to learn and grow!
  • CPR and First Aid certification (we can help you get certified if needed).
  • A compassionate and patient spirit with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers (lifting up to 50 lbs).
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may vary by position).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalized support with daily living activities (ADLs) to ensure dignity and comfort, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Partnering with clients to enhance their mobility and navigate their environment safely through transfers and ambulation.
  • Spark joy and well-being by facilitating engaging activities that promote both physical and emotional health.
  • Preparing nutritious meals that cater to individual preferences and ensure all dietary needs are met.
  • Maintaining a safe and serene home environment through light housekeeping tasks.
  • Building meaningful connections by offering companionship and fostering positive, supportive relationships with clients.
  • Serving as a trusted companion by accompanying clients to appointments and outings, ensuring their safety and well-being in all settings.
  • Proactively monitoring client health and reporting any concerns or changes to the care team.
  • Upholding the highest standards of care by adhering to all healthcare regulations and New Century Home Care policies.
